Busy Summer

It was my intention when I started the blog to post to it at least once a week. I have failed miserably!! The last three weeks have been busy ones for us, but blessed ones!

First, my son and his wife came to visit. This is them the day after they arrived with my parents who came to eat dinner with us.

The next week we went to see Rosedown Plantation. Our lovely daughter-in-law had never seen a plantation home before and we enjoyed the day. It ended at the Hot Air Balloon Festival. Hot and fun day!!

But the best day was the day we planned on spending downtown in Baton Rouge. Our daughter interrupted our plans and presented us with a new grandson named Jacob Andrew. Jacob was not supposed to make his appearance until early September, but God blessed us by allowing him to come while Jason and Chelsy were here to celebrate with us.

Jason and Chelsy left this morning to head back to northern Indiana to prepare for another year of teaching (Jason at Valparaiso University and Chelsy will be teaching English Lit to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th graders at a private school along with Contemporary Ethics and French. (Wow! I get impressed every time I think about it! Chelsy - my love, respect and prayers.) I miss them already and can't wait until we head their direction in October.

One of our granddaughter's favorite songs has come to mind often during these busy weeks: "God is so good, God is so good, God is so good, He's so good to me."
AMEN!!
